A$AP Ferg On Breaking Down Boundaries As Tiffany & Co’s Brand Ambassador

y first memory of Tiffany & Co. is walking past the Fifth Avenue store on the way home from school. I’d always look in the window and see the sparkly diamonds,” A$AP Ferg tells Vogue. “I never had the guts to actually go in, ’cause I knew that I couldn’t afford anything from there.”

What a difference a decade or two makes. Ferg, a founding member of Harlem’s A$AP (Always Strive and Prosper) Mob, whose real name is Darold D Brown Ferguson, is a fully-fledged Tiffany & Co. brand ambassador, and, rather fittingly, the face of its “Believe in Dreams” campaign.

“It’s not impossible to dream of working with a huge brand like Tiffany & Co.,” Ferg shares of his ambition to collaborate with the house, which was born while studying at the Manhattan High School of Art and Design and making his own jewellery. “And I’m actually the first rapper to work with Tiffany, so I feel like I’m breaking down barriers and bridging the gap between my culture and the brand’s culture.”
