One of music’s most compelling figures, A$AP Rocky, traveled down to Miami for Art Basel and to toast his friend, and fellow music-maker, Russell Simmons at the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale bash. And while the Harlem native often makes a splash with his wardrobe and music, he took the opportunity to toast the art scene and the emerging talent. Here, Rocky shares snaps from his quick trip including checking out new pieces with fellow Basel newbie Sasha Lane in his signature pieces from Vlone and Gucci.
A$AP Bari of A$AP Mob kicked off the VLONE pop-up at Art Basel Miami recently. At the pop-up, fans can expect a collection of limited pieces to be available including painted denim, signature VLONE “V”-branded items alongside Nike, as well as capsule drops in conjunction with No Vacancy Inn, OFF-WHITE and Marino Infantry. The label is also offering a chance to buy the rare VLONE x Nike Air Force 1s via an in-store raffle. With retail prices ranging from $175 to $250 USD, the Miami pop-up is set to run from December 1 to December 4. Check out what went down on day one of the VLONE Art Basel Miami pop-up.

adidas Skateboarding and Harlem-based rapper A$AP Ferg will host “Always Strive and Prosper: A Photo Exhibit by Brock Fetch” at this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach. To be used as a platform to unveil the “Traplord” collection, the show serves as a perfect union of art and fashion. The insightful photo exhibit is curated by esteemed photographer Brock Fetch and will highlight the close friendship and camaraderie of the A$AP Mob. In particular, the exhibit will pay tribute to A$AP Yams – who was the founder of the iconic group – with a large-scale painting by A$AP Ferg dedicated to the late artist. You can watch the third installment of the Traplord video series by adidas Skateboarding below, which documents A$AP Ferg’s creative process and discusses his integration of design and fine art in relation to fashion. The “Always Strive and Prosper” exhibition will debut at Art Basel Miami Beach on December 5.
