You may know Marty Baller as ASAP Ferg’s hype man when they’re rocking stages worldwide or recognize him from being the face of Trap Lord – but with the release of his first solo record Things We Go Through, Marty is establishing his name in the industry as a true artist himself. First featured on Ferg’s latest mixtape, Ferg Forever, there was an immediate spark of interest from fans for what Marty would soon deliver with A$AP Mob. As the first artist off Ferg’s label Trillagain Island Records, we can expect a blend of Trap, EDM, and hip-hop for Marty’s upcoming project. “I’m excited to tell the people, through my music, about what I went through – my story,” says Marty. “Just be prepared to turn up – I get emotional through the tape too.” With the working title of Martygra, this second anticipated project is set to release later this year.

When fashion titans Timberland and VILLA collaborate, the streets take notice. With their past three collaborations already cemented as cult classics, the pair teamed up yet again to release their most eye-catching pair to date: the VILLA x Timberland Emerald 6” Boot. Originally debuted in February, the Emerald boot sold out instantly in all of VILLA’s 100+ locations.
One of the first people to embrace the Emerald Timberland was Harlem’s sartorial sultan, A$AP Ferg. Completely enamored by their killer kelly hue, Ferg was instantly inspired to redesign his signature Trap Lord gear to pair up nicely with Timberland and VILLA’s creation. After Ferg gave his emerald-tinted blessings, VILLA was able to find a few more pairs of the Emerald 6” boot, right in time for St. Patrick’s Day.
If you missed out on the initial release, then this could be your last chance to cop one of the most coveted kicks of the year. Throw in the jewels that A$AP Ferg has dropped, and there’s no better to way to shine for the Emerald Isle. This extremely limited re-release and exclusive Trap Lord gear will only be available through the Virgin Mega app on 3/12 Noon EST. Download the Virgin Mega app (iOS/Android) to get in line to buy this product.
The Emerald Essentials Collection consists of the VILLA x Timberland Emerald 6” Boot ($190), the Trap Lord x VILLA Snapback ($35), and the Trap Lord x VILLA Long Sleeve Tee ($45).

On a late summer day, the air humid and muggy, I boarded the 1 Train to East Harlem with Thomas. We were about to meet up with Ferg, who had just finished touring the world, only to be getting ready to do it again. He’s been extremely busy, constantly pushing himself, but for this quick two week stint in New York, he was able to refocus and relax more or less. On tour, in the studio, designing clothes, and shooting videos he’s known as A$AP Ferg; but for this moment as we came upon him sitting on a stoop around the block from where he grew up, he was Darold Ferguson Jr.
With a slice of pizza in one hand, he greeted us nonchalantly and then continued eating while asking us how we were. He was accompanied only by his longtime friend and assistant Demetrius. Here sat the guy who had just came back from touring and working with some of the biggest names in music encompassing at least four different genres, but you wouldn’t know it if you were just walking by; several people walked by en masse, unaware of the interview going on. Only at one point did a slightly older gentleman whom Ferg knew stop by to dap him up before coolly leaving when he learned of what was taking place (“Okay, don’t let me interrupt!”)
As he spoke, he carried with him an aura of easygoingness and humility. Though modest, especially on his old stomping grounds, he was still able to exhibit glimpses of his more hedonistic, flashy side. Dressed in his clothing brand, Trap Lord, with bright camo on his shorts and bucket hat, and giving answers walking the line of self-indulgence, it’s apparent he knows he is larger than life. But even through this self-awareness of opulence, that inner humble kid from Harlem shone through, as he’s far from finished puttin’ in work.

A$AP Ferg drops a collectible with the limited edition Let It Go tee. The distressed finish t-shirt features all the cast characters from his cult classic video Let It Go.
The distressed black t-shirt has multi-color imprint on the front that looks a lot like a movie poster. The classic feel is delivered by the t-shirt and faded, crackled artwork itself.
