(Video) A$AP Rocky in RBMA’s Short Film ‘Trust Me’

Getting old sucks. Of course it does. All those missed opportunities flashing by your eyes, telling you that things could have been different if only you’d been a little less cynical. The next generation, however, are doing things differently: they’re grabbing life with both hands and intend to ride it to the moon and back.

To prove this, we sent film-makers on the road with the Red Bull Music Academy UK Tour to speak to the latest generation of good-time people, artists and creative thinkers. The result, Trust Me, is a positive tonic that features young folk with open minds, wisdom beyond their years and enough bright-eyed optimism to power the UK through a blackout.

Filmed over the four weekends that Red Bull Music Academy called into Glasgow, Bristol, London and Manchester, the film shows exactly what’s on young people’s minds these days and what they think about all those sticky issues that seem to drive older people up the wall.

It’s not just party-goers put in front of the camera either. New British talent like Little Simz, Skepta and JME give their tuppence worth, while A$AP Rocky and Seth Troxler explain what it is that fascinates them about British youth culture and its propensity for having it large.
